SOA CENTER OF EXCELLENCE
A SOA Center of Excellence is a structure responsible for collaborating and developing the governance principles, processes and best practices. The CoE defines the compliance checkpoints to be inserted into the SOA governance processes. The CoE is responsible for championing the changes to initiate adoption of SOA and SOA Governance practices. The Center of Excellence consults the line of businesses to architect SOA solutions and integrate them within the enterprise.
The Steering Committee represents the executive sponsorship and ensures business commitment. The primary purpose of the process models is to communicate the strategic intent at a tactical level. Therefore, the Steering Committee articulates the vision and strategy for the enterprise in a tangible form and aligns the BPM efforts to strategic business and IT goals. The Steering Committee establishes and prioritizes the process initiatives within the CoE, and reviews and approves roadmaps and budgets.
