STRATEGIC SERVICES

As business processes drive every organization, proper understanding and optimization of these processes are fundamental to the creation of real business value. VEA delivers structure and expert guidance for the entire process lifecycle: project management, change management, workshop facilitation, training, governance, and effective program communication.

BPM Governance relates to the definition and enforcement of rules and guidelines that drive activities and decisions along the process lifecycle. BPM Governance also defines the roles and responsibilities for actions at the project and program management level. An effective BPM Governance strategy has to strongly reinforce the alignment between strategic objectives of the enterprise, business priorities, and process management activities. The governance implementation needs to be supported by a hierarchical organizational reporting structure. Typically a Process Working Group/Steering Committee provides the executive sponsorship and a Center of Excellence (CoE) establishes and enforces the governance rules.

PROCESS METRICS AND BENCHMARKING

The most important step in measuring your effectiveness at transforming the business operations of your organization will rely upon measuring improvements and benchmarking against similar companies within your industry.

PROCESS GOVERNANCE

This refers to not only means storing the processes in a repository and sharing them across the organization, but also managing the right process being distributed across the enterprise. The Process Governance cycle includes managing inter-relationships between different models and attached files in the process diagram, version control, audit, sign-off, review, notifications, and all that is required to make the governance cycle automated and not a nightmare of manual control. ARIS Process Governance lets you establish enterprise-wide policies for automated governance processes using a model-driven approach.

SOA GOVERNANCE

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a style of architecting systems in order for them to talk to each other. This composite set of business-aligned services supports an end-to-end business process and is opaque. The customer using this interface is not required to have knowledge of implementation details. The technology is agnostic and can be used to connect diverse systems from mainframes to .NET/Java. SOA provides a standards-based open communication mechanism so that applications “talk the same language,” which reduces integration costs. With cataloging and identifying pre-existing applications, duplication of business logic is eliminated.
